President of the Board: Robert Perry
Robert Perry currently serves as the Interim President of The American Melanoma Foundation (AMF). He is a renowned architectural expert witness and general contractor providing consulting services in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas.
Bob enjoys traveling, gardening, woodworking, golfing, problem-solving, and motorsports, to name a few of his hobbies. Alongside his wife, Kimberly Perry, he dedicates countless hours to charitable endeavors. They are actively involved with Father Joe's Village, supporting the unhoused, and are committed to making their community a better place.
Medical Director: Mona Zohdi Mofid M.D., FAAD
Dr. Mona Mofid serves the San Diego community in private practice with Sharp Community Medical Group and volunteers as the Medical Director for The American Melanoma Foundation. She earned her medical degree and completed her training at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Hospital. Dr. Mona has held prestigious positions, including Clinic Director of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins and President of The Maryland Dermatologic Society.
A diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, she is recognized as one of America’s Top Dermatologists and has received numerous accolades for her compassionate care. Dr. Mona believes, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care," and is dedicated to positively impacting lives. Through her practice and role at The AMF, she focuses on treating melanoma, skin cancer, acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
Secretary-Treasurer: Kimberly Perry
Kimberly Perry has been an integral part of the American Melanoma Foundation (AMF) for nearly two decades, serving as Secretary/Treasurer since 2005. Alongside her husband, Robert Perry, the interim President of the AMF, Kim has been a pillar of philanthropic service in her community.
Kim’s journey with AMF is deeply personal, as a four-time Melanoma Survivor and Thrivor! Melanoma and Sun Safety awareness are vital parts of her life, and she dedicates her time to raising awareness through public education through the various charities she is actively involved with.
Professionally, Kim and Bob share an architectural consulting practice in the San Diego area. Beyond their professional and philanthropic endeavors, they cherish their 5 children and 13 grandchildren. In their free time, they enjoy cooking, traveling, gardening, and volunteering.
